The
Inventor of Sporicidin: Dr. Robert Schattner, the
developer of Sporicidin® products, received his B.S.
in Chemistry from the City College of New York and received
his dental degree from the School of Dental Medicine at
the University of Pennsylvania in 1948. After serving in
the U.S. Public Health Service, he was in private practice
for 10  years
in Bayside, NY. While engaged in practice, he developed
the widely known Chloraseptic® Mouthwash. Dr. Schattner
marketed Chloraseptic® until it was sold to the Norwich
Pharmacal Company. Subsequently, Chloraseptic® was purchased
and marketed by the Procter and Gamble Company.
